Silver Linings

Kimberly Arms Shirk began her broadcast career as an editor and photographer for Fox 42 in Omaha, NE and quickly transferred to reporting and producing. She helped to start up the ABC affiliate in Lincoln, NE, KLKN-TV8 as a morning anchor and one-man band reporter and continued her career in Des Moines, Iowa at WOI-TV5 as a reporter/ photographer until 1997. In September of 1997, Kimberly was severely burned and nearly killed by a 13,000 volt electrical line due in part to a lack of training with Live Trucks.


Since her accident Kimberly speaks with passion about the importance of <strong>Safety in the Workplace</strong>, <strong>Running, not Walking through the Fire of Tragedy</strong> and <strong>Finding Faith at the End of the Road</strong>. She is a freelance writer and chief engineer of her family: her husband, Chad, two boys, Caleb, Logan, and their little girl, Addison.
